Services and other events.
During termtime, there are regular services in chapel. These are usually according to the practice of the Church of England, but everyone is very welcome to attend and participate. Anyone who receives communion in any Christian denomination can do so here.
Sunday 11 a.m. in the Tunstall Chapel – Sung Eucharist. Usually with a choral setting of the service sung by the choir, and including congregational hymns and a sermon. Followed by drinks on the Tunstall Gallery.
Tuesday 9 p.m. in the Norman Chapel – Compline. This informal reflective service by candlelight alternates between sung and said compline (the ancient monastic office of night prayer).
Thursday 6 p.m. in the Tunstall Chapel – Choral Evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer. A service of readings and music, with a sermon often given by a visiting speaker.
Morning prayer is usually said in the Tusntall Chapel at 9 a.m. Monday – Thursday during term, and anyone is welcome to join Hannah in saying it. Prayer requests can be left on the board at the back of the Tunstall Chapel.
Other services and events are held for special occasions, and these are advertised here, in the termcard and around college.
Details of all the music and speakers can be found on the Events calendar, and hard copies of the termcard and music list are available from the beginning of each term.
